When I Asked for a Parking Angel

After the birth of my third child, when I was just 29 years old, I found myself facing something I never expected—major back surgery. The stress and weight of pregnancy had taken a toll on my spine. I had blown out two discs that had to be repaired.
At the time, I was still young. Strong. Stubborn, too. I didn’t want to be labeled disabled or seen as someone who couldn’t carry her weight.
I pushed through the healing process like a warrior.
But even after the pain subsided and the surgical scars faded, fear lingered—
the kind of fear that settles deep in your nervous system.
I was afraid of falling.
Afraid of getting bumped into.
Afraid of being knocked over in a crowd.
That fear didn’t disappear with time. It stayed in my body… until one day, I decided to ask for help.
A Quiet Prayer and a Simple Request
In a moment of quiet prayer, I didn’t ask for a miracle.
I didn’t ask to be fully healed.
I asked for something simple, yet powerful:
A parking angel.
I asked to find parking closer to the door—so I wouldn’t have to walk too far or risk a fall.
Just a bit of ease.
A touch of grace.
A little divine assistance to help me show up as a mother, a woman, and a healer in recovery.
And let me tell you… that angel showed up.
Signs, Synchronicities & Front Row Spaces
From that day forward, I began finding front-row parking spots almost everywhere I went.
Crowded events? Last-minute appointments? Grocery runs?
There was always a spot waiting.
I’d smile, whisper a quiet thank you, and know:
My angel heard me.
Even now, decades later, that same angel is with me.
The support never left. And I never stopped believing that our guides want to assist us in practical, grounded ways—if we simply ask.
You Can Ask, Too
It’s not always about grand miracles.
Sometimes, divine support arrives in the form of a perfectly timed parking space.
