Getting in Tune With Your Intuitive Abilities

Enhance Your Intuition

Today’s world can be overwhelming! Every year, society appears to become more focused on technology, screens, and stress. It’s all too easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to the perfectly curated lives we see on social media, or to become overwhelmed by the never-ending 24-hour news cycle. It’s no surprise that we frequently find ourselves trapped in negative cycles of anxiety, fear, and stress.

Fortunately, we are all born with the ability to access a tool that can assist us in overcoming all of today’s modern challenges. A tool that can help us navigate through life and stay on track. It is our one and only true superpower, an ancient wisdom buried within each of us. What I’m talking about is your intuition!

Intuition is defined as “the ability to understand something instantly, without the need for conscious reasoning.” In other words, it is the bridging of our conscious and unconscious minds. For example, have you ever had an unexplainable gut feeling that told you whether something you were doing was right or wrong? That was the voice of your intuition. Consider what your life would be like if you could call on your inner guidance system whenever you needed it. That sounds incredible, doesn’t it? What person wouldn’t want more of that?

Listening to and trusting that small voice is a wonderful thing in and of itself, but working to develop that small voice can make it even more powerful. We are all endowed with the sacred ability to develop and strengthen our intuition. The more we use it, the more it has the potential to grow and evolve. Consider your intuition to be a muscle that requires exercise and nutrition to grow. Let’s take a look at the 11 best ways to connect with and develop your incredible gift!

Meditate: Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last five years, you’re aware that you should be meditating. It’s all over the news! We’re all aware that we should meditate more. Let’s look at meditation through the lens of how it can help us tune into and grow our intuition.

In most people, intuition speaks in hushed tones. When our minds are preoccupied with the stresses of daily life, it can be difficult to hear that small voice. Meditation is an excellent way to clear the mind, quiet the constant inner dialogue, and allow our intuition to shine. Experiment with it. Try this simple meditation to help you listen to and connect with your inner spirit!

-Set a timer for 10 minutes.

-Find a relaxing and comfortable place to sit.
-Close your eyes and stay quiet.

-Listen to and feel your breath (really pay attention to it) without trying to change it.

-Just observe the breath. Notice any sensations that arise. Just BE present.

-When your mind wanders, just bring your focus back to your breath.

When your timer goes off, slowly open your eyes and take a moment to write down any significant thoughts, messages, feelings, or insights you may have had during your meditation.

Dreams: Our cognitive brain is in charge during our waking hours. It overrides our subconscious mind by using logic and reasoning. During sleep, however, our conscious mind rests, allowing our inner subconscious to shine through. Listening to our inner consciousness can teach us a lot about overcoming issues or problems.

Maintain a dream journal. Keep a notebook and pen next to your bed and try to write down everything you remember about your dreams as soon as you wake up. Dreams begin to fade from memory as soon as you wake up, so grab your dream journal before doing anything else. As with most things, practice makes perfect, and you will become more adept at interpreting and recording your dreams over time. You will be able to identify patterns and instances where your inner consciousness is attempting to assist you in solving problems or guiding you in the right direction.

Visualize yourself remembering your dreams before going to bed. Consider waking up and writing down your dreams in a journal. Try to keep this thought in mind as you drift off to sleep. This will help you remember the practice and make it easier the next morning.

More nature: Spending time in nature, away from technology, is one of the most effective ways to relax the mind. Nature is an excellent way for us to reconnect with our ancestral selves and celestial intuition. Our ancestors relied on their intuition for everything, and this is where we come from. One of the most important aspects of life was intuition, which was used to find food, avoid predators, and find the right path. When we immerse ourselves in nature’s beauty, we have the opportunity to step into another world, a world where intuition reigns supreme.

Get creative: Do something creative or make something unique! Paint, draw, build, sketch, or do anything else that stimulates your creative mind. When we are young, our inner voice is loud and unafraid to speak up. As we get older, our inner voice becomes muffled by responsibilities and life’s stresses. Using this creative part of our brain can help to re-ignite those pathways and amplify our intuition.

Get in tune with all your senses: Your intuition can manifest itself through any of your five senses. It could be a strange or loving sensation you feel physically within your body, or it could be a thought that appears out of nowhere. It could be triggered by a specific scent or even taste. Begin to notice and pay attention to all of your senses. When was the last time you really focused on your breathing, sense of smell, and taste? We’ve all heard the expression “stop and smell the roses,” but it can really help you develop your intuition. The more you practice tuning in to these senses, the more your “sixth sense” will flourish.

Follow your hunches: Testing your hunches is a surefire way to improve your intuition. Keep a journal and write down any hunches you have as you go about your daily life. When that little voice speaks up, make a note of it so you can record and observe how these hunches play out. It could be as simple as seeing the weather forecast for rain tomorrow but having a feeling it will be sunny. If a friend’s partner gives you bad vibes, write them down and see what happens. Follow your instincts and see what you can discover about your intuition.

Switch up your daily routine: The conscious brain craves routine and order, but the more structured your life is, the more your inner voice is suppressed. When the mind is racing, it can be especially difficult to hear that small voice. Changing things up can throw your cognitive brain for a loop and allow your intuition to shine. Get away from the daily grind, slow down, and try something new. Your intuition will be grateful.

Replay past events: Sit down and try to recall a situation in which things did not go as planned or as desired. Consider imagining yourself back in that situation, noting any feelings or moments when you felt something was wrong. Was there a chance to go a different route? Did your inner voice speak up for a brief moment before being silenced by your cognitive mind? Try to assess some of these occurrences and look for patterns, as well as ways to do things differently the next time. Look for ways your intuition was attempting to guide you and what it was attempting to tell you.

Breathework: Breathework is without a doubt one of the most effective methods for quieting the mind and connecting with your inner voice. Try this 4-7-8 method to allow your intuition to shine through and bring your consciousness to the present moment.

-Start by emptying your lungs of air.

-Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds.

-Hold that breath for 7 seconds.

-Exhale slowly through your mouth for 8 seconds.

-Repeat this process 4 times.

This 4-7-8 technique not only improves intuition, but it is also a great way to reduce stress and anxiety. Basically, if everyone practiced this simple technique once a day, the world would be a much better place!

Think less, feel more:  Our cognitive brain thinks, while our intuitive brain feels. Our minds are constantly reasoning, questioning, and contemplating their way through the day. We’ve been doing it for so long that we’ve become oblivious to it. People would think we were insane if they could hear all the questions our cognitive brain is bouncing around all day!

Slow down and try to “feel” more. Feelings that are rooted in your body are also rooted in reality. These emotions will never deceive you. Learn to pay more attention to them. Pay attention to the subtle cues that our bodies send us. Your heart is racing, you have a knot in the pit of your stomach, you are hot, cold, or you have a tingling sensation. You know the scenario: you meet someone and immediately sense that something is off about them. Perhaps they are deceiving you or mistreating someone; your physical body can detect this and alert you. You could avoid many uncomfortable, painful, or awkward situations if you pay more attention to these physical cues. This is your intuition speaking and it’s trying to guide you in the right direction.

Practice “sensing” people before meeting them: This is an excellent way to put your intuition to the test. Place yourself in a position where you can observe someone before meeting them.

Imagine you’re in line at a coffee shop, and you’re trying to imagine what the person behind the counter will be like before you speak to or meet them. Take in as much as you can about them simply by looking at them and trusting your instincts. Try to imagine what they will be like, how they will sound, whether they will be friendly, sociable, or not. You can use this to put your intuition to the test in almost any situation. This is a powerful and actionable method for getting in touch with your senses, body, and inner voice.

Have Gratitude: In this day and age, it’s all too easy to focus on the negative aspects of life and overlook all that we have to be thankful for. We’re all guilty of it! It is all too easy to overlook our health, our families’ love, food and water, our home, or our community. Take time every day to recognize and express gratitude for a few of the amazing things that we are fortunate to have in our lives. This simple practice can open us up to a higher frequency, allowing more of life’s wonders to come our way.

-Gratitude improves relationships.

-Gratitude improves sleep.

-Gratitude improves physical health.

-Gratitude improves self-esteem.

-Gratitude enhances empathy and reduces aggression.

-Gratitude improves psychological health.

Gratitude practice has been scientifically researched and proven to be a powerful, real-world tool. Consider how a few of those advantages could significantly improve our daily lives. Gratitude can truly open a plethora of doors to a better life, allowing our intuitions to flourish!

7 Keys to Unlocking Your Intuition

Have you ever had the experience of having a huge hunch that something is about to happen and, to your surprise, that intuition was eventually translated into reality?

Intuition is when you have strong feelings about something but don’t have a logical reason for them. It manifests itself in three ways: clairvoyance or “the third eye,” clear sensing, and feeling through listening.

Clairvoyance is the ability to see beyond what your eyes can see. This is when you are aware of what is going on somewhere.

Sensing clearly is essentially the same as having a “hunch” or “gut feeling.” This is the time when you are overcome by a feeling that you cannot explain and all you can say is “I just know.”

Feeling through listening, on the other hand, is the ability to “listen” between the lines. Intuition can also occur when a specific sound, such as a car honking or a bird tweeting, triggers an intense feeling.

Only a few people are said to be gifted with intuition. Astrologers even claim that people born under the Scorpio or Pisces signs are born with a natural intuitiveness that borders on E.S.P. However, studies are sprouting up left and right proclaiming that anyone can develop intuition.

You may be wondering why there is a need to develop intuition. Why not accept your current emotional and psychological state? First and foremost, intuition fosters effective communication. It makes you more sensitive to the people around you; it frequently prevents you from hurting those you care about because you are intuitive enough to understand them. Intuition also allows you to be far more creative than before. Intuition entails freeing up more creative juices for any form of expression. Finally, intuition has the ability to heal. This healing power is not physical, but rather involves delving deep into your soul to remove any negative energy that has become lodged there.

With that said, are you ready to cultivate your intuition? Here are some ways to unlock this gift:

1. Hypnosis

Yes, have yourself hypnotized. Hypnosis is more than just watching a pendulum swing back and forth. You can strengthen your intuition by self-hypnosis or by using hypnotic programs.

2. Meditation

Meditating entails finding inner peace. If your mind and heart are clogged with too much baggage and hurt, you won’t be able to quiet that part of you that might eventually initiate intuition. There are numerous ways to meditate, such as taking a yoga class or simply practicing some breathing exercises.

3. Think positive!

A worry-free, fear-free state can do wonders for your intuitive ability. By remaining positive, you attract good energy that may be able to detect impending feelings and events.

4. Just let go.

What exactly does this mean? If you are on the verge of making a major decision, let go of all inhibitions and go to a quiet place where you can discover where letting go has led you. Sometimes you just have to listen to your inner voice, and that voice will not come out unless you let go.

5. Never expect it.

What exactly does this mean? If you are on the verge of making a major decision, let go of all inhibitions and go to a quiet place where you can discover where letting go has led you. Sometimes you just have to listen to your inner voice, and that voice will not come out unless you let go.

6. Believe in your first impressions.

When you meet someone for the first time and have the impression that he is a little too arrogant for your liking, chances are that impression is correct. In most cases, first impressions are brought about by intuition.

7. Stay happy!

See? To be intuitive, all you need to do is be happy! Happiness attracts enormous power, which includes intuition. Your motivation for using your intuition must be happiness and contentment. Given that premise, intuition will come easily to you.

Intuition is useful because it can sometimes lead you to something that you would not have discovered otherwise. Many lives have been saved solely through intuition. Decisions are easier to make when armed with this gift.

Develop your intuition now and you will reap benefits you could never have imagined.

Spiritual & Intuitive Coaching

Awakening the Intuition

Due to the strengthening of light within the physical plane, we now have a larger potential to hear Spirit’s voice communicating within our hearts and minds. As a result, even individuals who have strayed far from a spiritual path can now return with greater ease than ever before. All you need is a desire to go back and give time and attention to the voice of inner knowing that you may have been denied previously.

Intuition is the term for this inner understanding. It happens in quiet, in the presence of inspiration that comes from a higher plane, and it is frequently accomplished by asking and waiting. Though certain intuitive perceptions are largely centered on the human level, such as knowing someone so well that we can predict how they will react to something or what they will do, the type of intuition that is referred to as “higher intuition” originates from a different source. It is the voice of understanding that translates messages from the soul’s level of truth, light, and wisdom.

Between human intuition and higher intuition, there doesn’t have to be much of a distinction. Yet, for many, a big gap still exists — a space that makes it more difficult to hear the words being whispered to and from the soul. Mind and heart must be willing to bridge this gap, and there must be at least a beginning of trust in one’s ability to ‘know.’

It is not necessary to teach intuition; rather, it must be permitted. It’s a potential that’s always been dormant within us, waiting for us to awaken it, like a flower awakening to the sun. We can begin with a simple desire to ‘know’ more about truth, light, and wisdom as it relates to our own lives and the lives of those we care about. We might begin to pray for the removal of any impediments to our understanding or awareness of what this reality might be.

When a desire to connect with greater truth is combined with a willingness to receive and pay attention to what has been heard or sensed, the door to inner knowing opens. There are those who ‘know’ things yet refuse to believe what their instincts tell them. They dismiss and invalidate what they feel or believe. This choice begins to close the doors to higher awareness by giving more strength to fear: fear of being wrong, fear of being different, fear of having to modify one’s life in response to what is heard. We need to be willing to hear and know in order to open the doors to intuition and keep them open.

Trust is a difficult concept to grasp because it frequently necessitates a reevaluation of how we have conducted our lives. It’s possible that life has forced us to be more practical, to concentrate on the day-to-day tasks of living and providing for others. It’s also possible that we’ve made mistakes in the past when it comes to deciding someone or what to trust. It’s also possible that we’ve forgotten about our capacity to feel, sense, and be more receptive to life on all levels. Trust entails more than just a desire to accept something from a higher plane of existence. It also necessitates a willingness to trust in our own ability to flow with life and modify what is required.

Many people have a lot of knowledge but are reluctant to admit it since they don’t know where it will lead them. This fear must be released in order to open the way to greater intuition and perceptions of light and truth.

It is especially crucial today, when there are so many major crises confronting us as a collective humanity, and so many choices that can have a tremendous impact on all of humanity, that we restore our ability to know and trust, which leads to intuition. To do otherwise puts us in the hazardous situation of not knowing what or who to believe, and not knowing which path to take in terms of improving the world and alleviating the great suffering that now exists. We live at the mercy of public opinion rather than in the presence of truth because we lack access to our deeper intuitive sense.

It is now critical for us to open to the light that is there in order to engage more completely in the collective life of mankind, as well as in the circumstances of our individual lives, for reasons that are both personal and simply part of being human. It’s time to let our inner senses awaken and transform us into the light-filled beings we are. The moment we live in demands it of us, and our emotions demand it of every one of us so that we might begin to overcome the difficulties and challenges that lie ahead of us.

We can start with a prayer or meditation, then move on to a moment of stillness and emptiness in which we don’t know what we’re doing and wait to be taught; we can prepare ourselves to be vessels of truth and light. The acknowledgment of intuition’s gifts may not happen right away, but it will, and all of existence rejoices when someone who has wandered from the road of knowing their Divine nature returns.
